Therapist-2-Therapist with Clinical Psychologist, Kate Templer

1) A book that deeply shaped your practice (or perspective on healing)?

Not sure if it shaped my practice, but it helped develop my interests in neuroplasticity - 'The Brain That Changes itself', by Dr Norman Doidge. Am also part way though 'Life Skills for a Broken World', by Dr Ahona Guha.

2) Go-to wellness tool?

Making lists to help feel more in control, as well as thought defusion (ACT), or thought challenging (CBT).

3) Your favourite grounding practice to recommend (or use yourself)?

Dropping into your body, as well as going through the five senses. I love a good sensory/fidget tool as well.

4) A creative tool you love?

Singing. And playing instruments (badly) when time allows.

5) Inspiring song, quote, film or art?

I think everyone should watch the kid's movie 'Inside Out', which helps normalise emotions.

And carrying on with the childlike theme, for something different - "A person's a person, no matter how small", by Dr. Seuss.
